Dear Guests and Visitors
It's finally December. Or shall I say again! The year rushed
by and it's silly season again - end of year functions, Christmas
parties, busy shopping malls, packed beaches and a general festive
atmosphere with Christmas trimmings, Candlelight Carol concerts
and excited kiddies waiting by the Christmas tree
All
true, except that the excited kids are but a few of the privileged
ones. Christmas is a time of love and thanksgiving when we celebrate
the birth of the baby Jesus 2003 years ago. Let's not forget
about the underprivileged in this busy time of giving and receiving.
Visit www.thembalitsha.org.za
website for your opportunity to give support to a wonderful
organisation and helping them to care for orphaned and AIDS
babies this Christmas. I've visited the Thembacare Centre and
it really opened my eyes to the need of poor babies who did
not choose the life they received. We can not change the world
but we can make a difference to the lives of 1 or 2 kids this
Christmas.
Manor on the Bay invited Tembelitsha kids to a fun day on the
beach in November. Unfortunately it rained that day, but a next
invitation will follow soon. Watch the newsletter for feedback
and photo's.
1
December was also International AIDS day. As Nelson Mandela
stated at the 46664 concert in aid of AIDA on Saturday 29 Nov.
in Cape Town: " AIDS is not a decease, it's become a human
rights issue." Take the hands of our wonderful leaders
and contribute to the charity of your choice this Christmas.
It makes giving meaningful and rewarding.
