A Happy New Year to all of you! We'd like to wish you all a happy and blessed year with lots of new challenges, pleasant surprises, good health and fun loving friends and family. AND - maybe a trip to SA with a few nights stop at our lovely Manor on the Bay in Gordon's Bay. A mere 30 minutes from Cape Town International airport and the winelands make this historic luxury guesthouse a perfect base to explore the Winelands, Franschhoek, Cape Town and play at over 15 golf course within 60 minutes drive.

We're in the middle of our high season and did not have much of a summer holiday ( Hey, somebody must work! ) We've had picture perfect summer days with temperatures between 25 and 30ºC.

Great news! Manor on the Bay received a 4 star grading ( As you'd see on our homepage.) by the Tourism Grading Council. We're very proud of this high ranking and have programmed a link from the Homepage ( star logo) to the Council's website. I'd like to encourage you to have a look at the criteria for a 4 star guesthouse. I do believe that is makes traveling a lot easier for you, the tourist, to know what you can expect and to come prepared.

We are looking forward to a great season ahead and possibly meeting some of you.
Book now for the whale season ( Aug - Oct ) to avoid disappointment.
