Dear visitor to Manor on the Bay's website
It's been a while since I've had time to sit down and write
an up-dated newsletter. Now, with the season behind me, I've
got lots of exciting Manor news to share.
We once again had a very busy and good season. I'd like to thank
all the lovely guests we had this passed season - you're now
part of the Manor on the Bay Family. We were also complimented
with a lot of return visitors this season.
For the regulars and return visitors a little bit of news. Kari,
my assistant, resigned after 4 and a half years at the Manor.
We are very sad to let her go but luckily it's for a very good
reason. Kari and Jan are expecting their first baby. The little
one ( sex unknown - big surprice! ) is due any day now. We'll
add pictures to the website as soon as we have them available.
A big thank you to Kari for 4+ fantastic years! The rest of
the team stay unchanged - 2 Katriena's & Yuka!
The Manor is closed for renovations and extensions at the moment.
We are adding 6 more rooms to the existing 6. 4 Of the new rooms
will have self catering facilities ( above the swimming pool,
behind the house) and 2 will be wheelchair friendly rooms. We'll
now have rooms with interleading doors for families as well
as a massage room. We're also adding an extra breakfast area
on the patio with build-in braai facility. We're very excited
about all the new changes and will be ready for business by
October wit 12 en-suite rooms! A lot of careful planning has
gone into assuring that the style of the extensions compliment
the 1862 style of the Manor house. Watch this space for pictures.
Schalk and I are taking a little break to Mozambique this winter.
We're going camping & scuba diving with friends for 2 weeks.
